Q:Why can't our junior high schools have more sports teams available for each grade level?
A:Our athletic teams are part of the Southwest Interscholastic Conference, which allows a limited number of teams per school. To encourage students to get involved in activities, each junior high school offers a variety of clubs for its students to join, such as Student Council and Yearbook. Students can also participate in school plays, as well as choir, band and orchestra.

Q:What is a zero hour class?
A:

Zero hour classes are offered at the junior high level for students who want to take an extra class beyond those that fit in a normal school day. The term "zero hour" refers to the fact that the class is held before 1st period. A student would start the day at 7:41 a.m. instead of 8:32 a.m.
