Department Mission
The Community Relations department's mission is to cultivate a culture of communications that links home/school/community in supporting student learning. The Coordinator directs District 135's strategic communications plan to engage the community at large so that they have an interest in student learning, a stake in student success, and a voice in shaping the future of our students. The Coordinator works with staff, students, parents, community members, the Board of Education, local businesseses and the media in building relationships, sharing information, listening and gaining support.

Are you a Key Communicator?
Key Communicators is an e-mail group designed to keep staff, parents and community members informed about the goings on at Orland School District 135. E-mails are usually sent once per month, but may be sent more often as needed. Every Key Communicator message is sent with recipients unable to see all those on the list to protect the privacy of each individual in our group.
